dune hoodie and kickass pants

I suspect many readers of this blog already know about Plastikwrap, but I think it's worth a mention. Their women's line is stellar, but their mens is a little more generic cyber. However, a few items are really, really cool. (the two I plan to acquire are pictured above). They are generally out of stock, and fairly expensive, but I think the exclusivity and uniqueness are factored into the price. What I really enjoy about Plastikwrap as opposed to other cyber / futuristic brands is that most of the elements and cuts are designed as structural elements or at least believably structural elements, and the flourishes are nice but relatively understated. They are not going to cover everything with extranous D-rings and mesh and slap bits of grommet tape here and there like some lame goth shops. Most of it looks like slightly styled but mostly utilitarian clothing from a comic book universe, and that's what I like.
