Apple tech support doing it right
I took my ailing first-generation Macbook Pro to the Apple Store because the keyboard and mouse failed, and I was sick and tired of taking it apart myself. I was told that this model of laptop along with the G4 powerbook has an approximate $200 parts, $100 labor flat rate for any and all repair. Sounded too good to be true, but I sent it in anyway. This was at 8PM on the Friday before Memorial Day...
